finally the rain has stopped and we completed 4 foundation holes

Sunday, June 10, 2012

June 10th 2012, we have been getting many calls from BH owners because they have heard that we do an excellent job with the technical aspect of BHs.  Today we went to district 8 in HCMC to inspect a BH that has been running for 9 months, but not even one swiftlet stays inside.  When we first went in I noticed that and external sound was used instead of an internal one.  Second thing was the overwhelmingly strong odor of ammonium bicarbonate.  The primary hole tweeters were spliced together with the directional tweeters so only one wire came down from the top of the BH to the control room.  This was a problem because the interior noise level was too loud.  This Tuesday we will go back to the house and fix everything we can.  Keep posted...

Hold on my new BH because of the endless rain

grass is cut down
8:30 in the morning we came to our land to ask for blessing from the gods and local spirits.  May 22, 2012 is the first day of construction and should be done before Christmas.  It's a very happy day.
My partners wife and my wife are setting up the ceremony

We ask for blessing

Our construction guy also brought offerings to the spirits

rest of the land

Land behind our current bh, closer to the river.
Starting our second house here in Nha Be, Vietnam.  The land is more than 1000 square meters and we have already done many weeks of bird sound testing to assure there will be birds entering our new place.  First step is to cut all these weeds and dig the stucture holes bout 36 meters down to secure the bh in all its glory.  Our design is a new style and hopefully everything will be ok.
thinking bout where to place the first of 3 bhs

May 11 2012, there was a feeding frenzy, all the swiftlets came out to feast on the flying termites.  Couldn't believe our eyes because that was the largest number of birds in one place we have ever seen.

Today 28, April 2012, right before the rain the birds were flying over head to the new sound.  Recently we have added more bird poop inside the house for the aroma and changed the external sound, a popular sound among birdhouse owners, but changed with my music software. Sorry the video is such bad quality(taken with phone), there are many birds...

April 25th 2012, around 15:30.  We just put in a new sound and the birds seem to be very happy with it.  As of today there are birds nesting on every floor of the house, which pleases us very much. I've been playing around with "Logic" an audio equalizer to make the bird sounds more clear and too boost up the frequency of each chirp.  The new sound that we have tried today was an old sound that we've had for a while, with 2 hours of fiddling around with.  If each bh owner in the world knew what they can do with a mac-book.....would change the game of swiftlet farming forever.

CanGio land number 1

CanGio land number 2
Bird enriched land that will bring a lot of prosperity to it's investors.  Stay posted for updates and videos. Here in Vietnam we have plenty of land and a mass amount of swiftlets, the only part of the equation that is missing is the BHs.

From the beginning...

In the district of Nha Be, Saigon.  I would like to introduce everyone to the future of birdhouses.  My name is Jon and this is my new blog to show the world the progress of this birdhouse.  We have been in full operation since January 2012.  The current bird count is between 100-200 and already have more than 5 birds nest. Our company, Cong Ty Co Phan TM&DV Yen Sao Can Gio, is currently in the process of building a vast amount of villas for our little swiftlet friends in the city of Can Gio, Vietnam.

The BH on the left is our very first project, there has been rigorous R&D to try to get the best results and if I do say so myself, we are making very good progress.  With weekly testing of sounds, aromas, temperature gadgets and so on.
